Claudette Wilson is a Partner Emeritus at Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP. She started with the firm as one of the firm’s named partners in 1991, the year the firm was founded, and led the Employment Law Practice Group for 30 years. She was the firm’s first Managing Partner and remained in that role until her retirement on January 1, 2022. A prolific litigator with 30+ years of successful trials representing Fortune 500 clients in a wide assortment of employment cases, Claudette also maintained a winning record arguing employment issues before the California Court of Appeal and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Claudette was also committed to building an enriching and inclusive workplace that values diversity, professionalism and leadership.
Respected by the bench, bar, colleagues and clients alike, Claudette is known for her integrity and for her commitment to civil discourse. Most recently in 2019 Claudette was named the San Diego Employment Law – Management Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America. As a three-time recipient of the honor, Claudette was also included in Best Lawyers Business’ “Women in the Law” edition.
For her record of trial successes, Claudette has been recognized by her peers, as well as in regional and national publications, as a “Woman Who Means Business,” “Top Lawyer” and “Best Attorney.” She has been profiled by San Diego Super Lawyers not only for her courtroom success, but also for her continued work to achieve a more inclusive legal industry.
Claudette has a long leadership history in the legal community, serving as a past president and a former board member in the Association of Business Trial Lawyers’ San Diego Chapter, and as a Master in the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court for two decades.
