Fred Kosmo Appointed Commissioner for City of San Diego Ethics Commission

Mr. Kosmo was appointed as a City of San Diego Ethics Commissioner and began serving his 4-year term. The Ethics Commission is a body of appointed volunteer City officials who enforce the city’s laws covering campaign finance, lobbying and governmental ethics. It is composed of seven members appointed by the Mayor nominated by the Council and City Attorney and confirmed by the Council. 
 
“We need principled individuals to serve and make a difference in San Diego. As a member of the commission, I will do my best monitoring, administering, and enforcing the City’s governmental ethics laws,” Kosmo states. As a commissioner, Mr. Kosmo will be conducting investigations, referring violations to appropriate enforcement agencies, auditing disclosure statements, advising and educating City officials, candidates, political committees, and lobbyists about governmental ethics laws.
