Wilson Turner Kosmo partner Vickie Turner has been chosen as a recipient of the KPBS and Union Bank 2014 Local Heroes Award in honor of Women’s History Month in March. The award recognizes the accomplishments and community service of distinguished citizens in San Diego who are making a difference in local neighborhoods, the region and the world.

Turner’s service to the youth of the San Diego community includes presentations to high school students on voter registration and mentoring high school students in local leadership programs. She is president and founder of the Turner Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization formed to provide assistance to students from underrepresented communities by encouraging leadership and high academic achievement.
