SAN DIEGO (February 15, 2018) – Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP partner Vickie Turner was recently named a San
Diego “Wonder Woman” by The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of San Diego County for her dedicated
service to the local community. She will be honored alongside 11 other prominent San Diegans at the
organization’s 53rd annual Women of Dedication Luncheon on May 30.

Launched in 1965 as a fundraiser, the Women of Dedication program continues to honor influential local
leaders making positive impacts on their community. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary hosts this event
each spring to celebrate the service and accomplishments of each distinguished honoree.

A named partner at one of California’s largest certified women-owned firms, Turner is a complex litigation attorney,
who, over the last 35 years, has earned national recognition defending complex product liability cases for
sizeable automotive manufacturers, distributors and retailers including Ford, General Motors and Honda.

Her influence extends beyond the courtroom and into the San Diego legal and education communities where
she works tirelessly as a volunteer, mentor and professor. Turner has been honored as Lawyer of the Year by
Best Lawyers, Woman of the Year by the 79th California State Assembly District and one of San Diego’s top
five product liability defense attorneys by San Diego Super Lawyers. Turner is a recipient of University of San
Diego’s Distinguished Alumni Award and Author E. Hughes Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also been
named a local hero by United Bank and KPBS.

Among the many professional organizations she is involved with, Turner serves on – or has served on – the
executive boards of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, National Bar Association,
Pathways 2 College, San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Chapter of Links Inc., San Diego Volunteer
Lawyers Program and USD School of Law’s Board of Visitors.

She is the co-founder of the nonprofit Turner Dream Foundation that supports leadership and educational
enrichment programs for African American youth. Turner is an adjunct professor at the USD School of Law
and California Western School of Law. She also participates in numerous forums, workshops and seminars
addressing legal topics from witness preparation to diversity in the courtroom.

Proceeds from the Wonder Woman-themed Women of Dedication event benefit The Salvation Army’s social
service programs, aimed at combatting homelessness and human trafficking, throughout San Diego County.
